The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc. is in search of an Integration Manager to spearhead the planning and scheduling initiatives for the integration of systems and technologies on unmanned naval vessels, as well as preparation for demonstrations. This role encompasses the integration of all combat systems and CI systems aboard the vessel, alongside the necessary preparations for demonstrations. The ideal candidate will also oversee the care, operation, and maintenance of all combat systems and CI equipment, whether permanently or temporarily installed on the vessel, which includes weapon systems, communications equipment, SATCOM systems, search and detection equipment, and command and control systems.

Upon successful onboarding, the incumbent will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other vessel coordinators to arrange installation and demonstrations with vendors, ensuring all parties are informed.
  • Integrate vessel requirements and limitations into the demonstration plan.
  • Work alongside the vessel team to confirm that the vessel can provide the necessary support during the execution of demonstrations.
  • Develop Integration Plans for each technology utilized on unmanned systems.
  • Supervise data collection efforts during event execution, ensuring the availability and calibration of data collection instruments.
  • Partner with system developers to formulate the demonstration plan, which includes objectives, data collection packages, and after-action reporting.
  • Ensure robust security measures for vessel IT systems.
  • Maintain the system IA plan and uphold system ATO in accordance with CCD.
  • Conduct CCD evaluations of CI systems and coordinate with NSWCCD Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide necessary advice and assistance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in Navy maritime research and development programs.
  • Secret security clearance.
  • Recent experience and knowledge of advanced maritime technologies applicable to military missions.
  • Familiarity with advanced military command and control systems, including networking and satellite system integration.
  • Understanding of US Navy Authority to Operate (ATO) procedures for Information Assurance.
  • Experience in the installation and integration of systems on military platforms, with a required background in Navy electronics.
  • Recent experience in coordinating unmanned systems operations in maritime environments, including air, surface, and underwater systems, with the ability to network system information.

Desired Qualifications:

  • DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

This position is contingent upon ARA receiving a contract and associated task funding.
