Electronic Security Systems Specialist

Salary: $38.00 per hour. Negotiable based on experience.
We are looking for a skilled Electronic Security Technician to enhance our federal operations. Our organization is dedicated to safeguarding critical facilities and supporting the missions that protect our nation.
Location: All work is conducted at a designated federal site, with no additional travel required.
Work Schedule: Primarily day shift with flexible start times between 7:00-8:00 AM until 4:00-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Benefits: Eligible for benefits from the first day of employment, including:
- 3 weeks of paid vacation

- 3 floating holidays
- 10 standard holidays per calendar year (totaling 6.5 weeks)
Key Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for the installation of commercial Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance systems.
- Install security devices in accordance with national electric code and company guidelines.
- Assist in the programming and setup of security systems as needed.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure proper functionality of equipment post-installation or repair.
- Coordinate installations with emergency services and maintain necessary documentation.
- Prepare estimates under the guidance of a supervisor.
- Provide training to end-users on system operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent injuries and property damage.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and/or industrial electronic security systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and operational manuals.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools for equipment installation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Softwarehouse C-cure 9000, Genetec, and/or Lenel systems.
- Familiarity with commercial and/or industrial camera systems, particularly Bosch, MDI, and/or American Dynamics.
Preferred Education:
- Certification in Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000, Lenel, and/or Genetec.
