Job Overview

Salary: $38.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

We are looking for a skilled Electronic Security Technician to enhance our federal operations. Our team is dedicated to supporting critical facilities and ensuring the safety and security of the environments we serve.

Location: All work is conducted at a designated federal site, with no additional travel required.

Work Schedule: Primarily day shifts with flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, concluding between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation and maintenance of commercial Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance systems.
  • Install security devices according to installation plans, adhering to national electrical codes and company guidelines.
  • Assist in programming and configuring security systems as needed.
  • Conduct thorough testing to verify the proper functioning of equipment post-installation or repair.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and fire departments regarding installations and emergency call notifications.
  • Prepare estimates under the guidance of a supervisor.
  • Provide training to end-users on system operation.
  • Maintain a safe working environment to prevent injuries and property damage.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and/or industrial electronic security systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools for equipment installation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000, Genetec, and/or Lenel systems.
  • Familiarity with commercial and industrial camera systems, including Bosch and American Dynamics.

Preferred Education:

  • Certification in Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000, Lenel, and/or Genetec.
