Support Staff Job Overview:

As a vital member of the Support Staff team at Domenica, your primary responsibility is to ensure timely delivery of food from the kitchen to our valued guests.

Attention to detail is crucial, as accurately serving the right dishes to the correct tables is essential.

Moreover, you will assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant by clearing and resetting tables during service, while ensuring that all workstations remain tidy and organized.

To thrive as a Support Staff team member, you should be enthusiastic about collaborating with others to provide outstanding service to our guests.

Being efficient, dependable, and observant, along with possessing excellent communication and time management skills, is key to delivering the best possible experience.

Familiarity with menu items is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:


Adhere to company service standards and restaurant protocols at all times. Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with fellow team members. Maintain a positive demeanor in the workplace, treating both guests and colleagues with respect. Follow company uniform and appearance guidelines. Arrive punctually for your shift, dressed in uniform and ready to work.

Comply with state liquor regulations, including holding a current Responsible Vendor's Permit. Practice efficient time management and step consolidation.
Maintain a keen eye for detail.
Properly set up your designated station and complete all opening side work thoroughly. Additionally, be prepared to perform ongoing side work throughout your shift. Keep a clean working environment during your shift. Assist in bussing, cleaning, and sanitizing tables, resetting them appropriately.

Support servers by pre-bussing and clearing tables, delivering drinks and food, and communicating any guest messages to the server or manager.

Sweep under tables after guests depart.
Consistently polish plates, silverware, glassware, and barware throughout the shift. Bring polished items into the restaurant and place them at designated stations.

Follow assigned seating numbers when delivering food, ensuring all dishes are served to guests without confusion.

Refill water pitchers for tables and store them in the cooler.

Possess knowledge of all menu items to assist with guest inquiries effectively.

Complete closing side work and break down your station before leaving the restaurant.
Work efficiently to accomplish required tasks within the assigned timeframe.
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and engage meaningfully.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Responsible Vendor's License.
Basic math and computer/tablet skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced work environment. Capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting while maintaining a professional demeanor. Exceptional multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
Availability to work varied hours, including weekends, days, nights, and holidays.
A positive, engaging personality and professional appearance. Ability to uphold company standards regarding appearance and dress.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong task and time management capabilities.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods (eight or more hours). Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying a minimum weight of up to 50 lbs. Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, up to eight hours daily. Capable of reaching above head and shoulder levels. Able to twist, kneel, bend, and crawl. Able to squat and crouch. Able to perform sweeping motions, both front-to-back and side-to-side. Able to work in confined spaces. Able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals. Able to climb stairs and ladders.
Manual dexterity and knowledge of customer service principles and processes. This includes meeting quality standards and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Able to listen and follow instructions, work independently, and adapt to changing situations.
Exhibit integrity and honesty while maintaining a positive attitude towards managers, coworkers, guests, and visitors.
