Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, planning and organizing work while enforcing policies and procedures.
- Ensure staff are adequately trained and equipped to perform their roles effectively, providing training for both new and existing team members.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager on daily operational activities.
- Analyze guest feedback and financial performance to monitor restaurant success, addressing any negative feedback and coordinating solutions with the management team.
- Manage staffing levels and labor costs at the host stand, assisting with adjustments as business demands.
- Maintain security and proper storage of restaurant inventory and equipment in the host stand and bar area.
- Ensure all equipment at the host stand and bar is operational and cleaned regularly, and that facilities are maintained according to expected business volumes.
- Take charge of private dining and large party arrangements, coordinating communication with guests, chefs, and management regarding inquiries, menus, contracts, and bookings.
- Execute contracts, process deposits, and handle credit card information in compliance with PCI standards for private events.
- Prepare and organize party menus daily prior to staff setup for events.
- Communicate special guest requests to the team, ensuring adherence to service standards.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through effective communication and coordination with other departments.
- Ensure the restaurant is fully staffed and set up, with ambiance elements like music and lighting adjusted to appropriate levels.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to support hotel operations.
- Foster strong relationships with colleagues and treat them with respect.
- Deliver exceptional service to guests, recognizing individual needs and exceeding expectations.
- Consistently apply the GUEST model in all interactions:
- Greet everyone warmly.
- Use eye contact and guests' names.
- Establish and anticipate needs.
- Solve and own all requests and complaints.
- Thank everyone.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Strong communication skills, essential for training and guest interactions.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
- Proficient in writing reports and correspondence.
- Effective public speaking skills.
- Problem-solving abilities in diverse situations.
- Proficient in navigating POS and reservation software.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 1-2 years of experience in restaurant management within a full-service or fine dining environment. A degree in Hospitality Management or some college education is preferred. Proficiency in English is required.
Physical Requirements
This role requires regular standing, walking, and communication. Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds may be necessary.
