Job Description – Restaurant Service Operations Supervisor

ACCOUNTABLE TO: General Manager and Assistant GM

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • As the Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations and staff during your scheduled shifts. Your responsibilities include managing team members, handling cash transactions, resolving disputes, and ensuring equipment is functioning properly. Your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining high service standards and operational efficiency.

    ● Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members during shifts
    • Act as the primary manager on duty throughout the shift
    • Assist in creating employee schedules and delegating tasks
    • Manage time-off requests and address unexpected absences
    • Train and mentor new staff members
    • Inspect equipment and communicate repair needs to management
    • Regularly monitor the floor to identify and address potential issues proactively
    • Maintain composure, responding empathetically to concerns
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
    • Address customer and employee grievances
    • Facilitate conflict resolution among staff
    • Promote and sustain a positive workplace atmosphere
    • Keep the management team informed of all relevant situations to prevent further issues
    • Document and report any occurrences that may need additional attention
    • Oversee beverage inventory and procurement in the absence of beverage managers
    • Monitor ticket times to ensure kitchen efficiency
    • Assist in managing seating during peak service times to ensure smooth operations
    • Guarantee that all products leaving the kitchen meet SeaQuake standards
    • Document and report any occurrences that may need additional attention
    • Complete a daily manager log for your shift
    • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by GM or AGM
Prepare Paperwork
  • Prepare labor schedules for front-of-house staff
  • Oversee beverage inventory and procurement in the absence of beverage managers
  • Assist with food and labor cost documentation and analysis
  • Support other tasks as directed by the General Manager
