Job Overview

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our executive team as a Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. This critical role will enable you to influence and execute policies and strategies that drive our organization's mission of providing every individual and family with a secure place to live and a hopeful outlook for the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Team to formulate and implement strategic initiatives aimed at ensuring the organization's long-term sustainability and growth.
  • Align the strategic priorities of senior leadership with annual budgets and performance metrics, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Present financial and strategic analyses to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Build and maintain robust, collaborative relationships with community stakeholders across diverse sectors.
  • Spearhead the Director of Finance's efforts in generating timely and precise financial reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Identify financial opportunities and challenges, crafting strategies to enhance organizational performance.
  • Guarantee adherence to GAAP standards and collaborate with auditors to ensure financial compliance.
  • Strengthen partnerships with banking and investment firms to optimize financial returns and minimize risks.
  • Establish and maintain rigorous internal financial controls and policies to protect organizational assets.
  • Assist the Deputy Director of HR & DEI in the delivery of comprehensive human resources services, including talent acquisition and employee development.
  • Ensure HR strategies support our mission and promote a culture of empathy and respect.
  • Champion compliance with all employment laws and regulations, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Partner with the Director of Contracts and Compliance to devise funding strategies that secure the organization's financial future.
  • Utilize compliance reporting to uphold contractual obligations and oversee accounting for grants and contracts.
  • Formulate IT strategies to harness advanced technologies for operational efficiency and oversee contract negotiations with IT vendors.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while promoting operational excellence and leadership development.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience (minimum of 10 years) in financial management and administration, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven expertise in leading organizations and departments with a focus on inclusive strategic development.
  • Strong financial acumen encompassing finance, accounting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Exceptional capability to mentor and develop diverse teams, emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated success in managing organizational change and fostering development.
