Ride Maintenance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ride Maintenance Director to join our team at Knott's Berry Farm. As a key member of our maintenance division, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our park rides and attractions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Employee Performance: Utilize training, coaching, counseling, and performance management to address and fairly resolve employee problems within the framework of company policies.
- Develop and Maintain Ride Maintenance Budget: Assist in developing and maintaining the ride maintenance budget, monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with budget allocations, and approve and process purchase orders.
- Communicate with Ride Manufacturers: Communicate with ride manufacturers to resolve difficulties and ensure the safest possible operation and maintenance of rides.
- Interface with Government Agencies: Interface with various governmental agencies on a routine basis to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Ensure Employee Safety: Ensure employee safety by working within and enforcing all OSHA requirements and other applicable safety laws.
- Determine Priorities for Scheduling: Determine priorities for scheduling of preventive maintenance and yearly overhauls, research, bid, and oversee ordering of materials and/or services involved in maintenance and construction projects.
- Coordinate Maintenance Projects: Coordinate maintenance projects with other Park departments, contractors, and ride manufacturers as necessary.
- Perform Maintenance Duty: Perform maintenance duty in the Park as scheduled.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree, with a focus in Maintenance/Tech./Engineering preferred.
- Certifications: NAARSO LEVEL II RIDE INSPECTOR and AIMS LEVEL II RIDE INSPECTOR certifications preferred.
- Work Experience: At least 10+ years of work-related experience preferred.
- Supervisory Experience: At least 5+ years of prior supervisory/leadership experience required.
- Knowledge and Skills: General knowledge of engineering principles and biodynamics, understanding of ASTM and California DOSH regs related to amusement rides, extensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance and codes.
- Availability: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
