Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a talented Environmental Engineering Specialist to enhance our Solid Waste and Geoenvironmental division. This role is pivotal in driving innovative projects across various sectors, focusing on solid waste management. We are looking for a proactive individual who is eager to lead diverse projects and foster relationships with a wide range of clients.

As part of our team, you will leverage your expertise in managing projects related to municipal, industrial, and hazardous waste systems, including landfills, recycling facilities, and gas management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee projects within the solid waste management sector, leading proposal initiatives and nurturing client relationships;
  • Enhance Geosyntec's visibility and reputation in the waste management market;
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations pertaining to solid waste facility operations;
  • Provide technical oversight for civil design projects, including landfill and transfer station systems;
  • Develop and manage geotechnical site assessment plans and supervise related field activities;
  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including reports, calculations, and permit applications;
  • Direct field investigations and construction services related to design projects;
  • Participate in mandatory training for health and safety, first aid, and CPR, all funded by the company, alongside opportunities for professional growth through seminars and mentoring;
  • Engage in fieldwork and travel as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (required);
  • Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (preferred);
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Texas (preferred).
Experience and Skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the consulting field, particularly in Texas or surrounding areas (required);
  • Proven experience in business development and project management (required);
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (required);
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic consulting environment, managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines (required);
  • NCEES Record for PE comity (preferred);
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record for business travel (required).
