We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at BCR Environmental Corporation. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing process-related activities associated with current and future projects for our process equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the sales team to progress leads, opportunities, and projects to completion in a technical focus.
- Select, size, and detail company products to suit customer requirements/specifications for process.
- Work with Project Engineering to maintain project-specific documents after their creation.
- Read, understand, comment upon customer-supplied project specifications to suit company products, goals, and processes.
- Create, update, and maintain drawings in AutoCAD and Plant 3D software.
- Check each design against job specifications.
- In design, consider function; safety, maintenance, and operation.
- Support customer-required delivery by meeting deadlines for supplying deliverables.
- Use, create, and update Applications & Process Engineering Calculations tools & templates.
- Solve customer problems with professionalism.
- Maintain the company culture.
- BS in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Process engineering or similar role.
- Travel up to 20%, reimbursed by the company.
- Affable nature, outgoing, and service-oriented.
- Understanding of thermal dynamics and heat exchangers.
- Understanding of rotating equipment. Understanding of process control equipment, instrumentation, and analyzers.
- Proficient with developing new calculators/applications tools in Excel.
- Generate P&IDs, PFDs, and other drawings in AutoCAD. Generate tie point lists, instrumentation lists, and other in Excel.
- Excellent organization, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Good analytical abilities, critical thinking skills, and tenacious follow-up.
- Good technical knowledge and the ability to learn quickly.
- Scheduling, priority management, and meeting deadlines.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Workdays are usually Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Customer sites are municipal wastewater treatment plants or industrial sites and will require travel in company-provided transportation to customer sites or expensed private transportation.
