Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technician II to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including specimen processing, staining, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and analyze specimens, including cytology and histology samples
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including stainers and processors
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance tasks to ensure accurate and reliable test results
  • Assist with inventory control and supply management
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Minimum 16 units of science coursework, including chemistry, biology, and algebra
  • Knowledge of medical computer software systems
