As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient collection, processing, and transportation of patient specimens.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture and skin puncture procedures to collect blood specimens, maintaining specimen integrity and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Process and transport specimens in a timely manner, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Assist Clinical Lab Scientists with specimen loading, gram stain preparation, and other tasks as needed.
  • Perform data entry and clerical duties, resolving issues with lab orders and reports.
  • Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or 24 college units in laboratory science preferred.
  • State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) or Phlebotomy Technician II (CPT II) certification required.
  • Typing and computer skills in a Windows environment preferred.
