Job Overview

Position Summary:
Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is collaborating with a regional client to find a qualified Senior Accounting Specialist. This role will directly report to the Senior Accountant and will involve responsibilities such as conducting bank and credit card reconciliations, preparing documentation for audits, and implementing new accounting standards to ensure adherence to regulations. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to changing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the maintenance of the general ledger by accurately recording, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements, ensuring precision and thoroughness in financial reporting.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to detect and rectify discrepancies.
  • Post and examine journal entries to guarantee accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, disbursing payments, and overseeing collections.
  • Facilitate month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing essential documentation and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations. Aid in both internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation and clarifications.
