Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in less complex projects and pinpoint areas for process enhancement within the Branch Banking sector.
  • Evaluate and analyze fundamental business, operational, or technical challenges that necessitate research, assessment, and selection of alternatives, applying independent judgment to manage medium-risk deliverables.
  • Propose solutions for more intricate issues and utilize independent judgment while developing expertise in the Branch Banking domain, including policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues in Branch Banking, internal partners, and stakeholders, including both internal and external clients.
  • Participants in the U.S. Department of Labor accredited Apprenticeship program will undertake a variety of structured tasks, which include on-the-job training, coursework, and mentorship, under the guidance of a hiring manager, program manager, and mentor. The program is designed to foster the professional growth of apprentices, preparing them for post-apprenticeship roles. Program Managers will facilitate the necessary path for professional development, ensuring apprentices acquire the skills and experience required for a fully competent Associate Branch Manager.
  • This SAFE position involves customer interaction and responsibilities that may include offering or negotiating terms and/or processing applications for dwelling-secured transactions. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations is mandatory. Continued employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including satisfactory background investigation results. Individuals in SAFE positions must also fulfill the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) as outlined in the job expectations below.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in finance or budgeting, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Military experience across any branch of service: Army, National Guard, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, or Reserves.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role within the military.
  • Relevant military experience in personnel benefits management, processing military personnel orders or transitions, wartime readiness operations, human resources, or military recruiting.
  • Leadership experience, including coaching, training, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal partners.
  • Extensive experience in identifying complex financial needs and providing tailored recommendations on products and services.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment across all organizational levels, emphasizing flexibility and adaptability.
  • Professional and ethical interaction with customers and team members.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands, exercising independent judgment and critical thinking.
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems and applications to retrieve information.
  • Understanding of compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention.
  • Relevant military experience with military protocols and instructions, including enlisted evaluations and officer/leadership reporting.
Job Expectations:
  • Enrollment in Wells Fargo's DOL Registered Apprentice Program is required. Apprentices are regarded as full-time employees within the program and are expected to adhere to Wells Fargo's policies, procedures, and employee expectations.
  • This position necessitates SAFE registration upon employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) website provides the necessary questions and registration required for this role. Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies. LO qualification requirements include financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be utilized to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness, although a credit score will not be part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.
