Position Summary
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for managing and processing mortgage loan applications, ensuring that all required documentation and information are collected and verified to complete the loan process successfully. This position focuses on mortgage loans retained within the bank's portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and process mortgage loan applications in line with bank policies and procedures.
- Gather and verify all necessary financial and personal information for loan applications.
- Request credit reports, appraisals, and title reports as necessary.
- Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to ensure the timely and accurate completion of loan applications.
- Examine loan files for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in mortgage lending guidelines and regulations.
- Assist with application disclosures and the preparation of loan closing documentation as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage lending or a related field.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with mortgage lending regulations and guidelines.
- Proficient in Mortgage Loan Processing software, with a preference for LaserPro experience, as well as Microsoft Operating System and MS Office Suite.
