Job Description

Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical knowledge and expertise to develop and execute projects, ensuring safety, reliability, quality, schedule, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with system and infrastructure engineering and subcontractors to execute projects at the Naval Reactors Facility in Idaho.
  • Develop and execute projects without compromising safety, reliability, quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Provide technical knowledge and expertise to support project development and execution.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations and Standards.
  • Develop and review cost estimates and project schedules.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in construction, engineering, or a science-related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Current or previous NPE qualified.
  • CTE/ACRS and 1 year of EOOW in the Nuclear Operations Program.
  • Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE.
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in construction, engineering, or a science-related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient technical writer.
  • Effective communicator and problem solver.
  • Knowledgeable of 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations and Standards.
  • Knowledgeable of Building Codes and Standards.
  • Experience with planning and executing projects.
  • Experience with scheduling software (i.e. Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Experience with development/review of cost estimates.

Pay Range: $76,000.00 - $117,000.00 annually
