In this position, you will manage a diverse portfolio of transportation projects, including significant DOT initiatives. Your collaboration with clients, project managers, firm leaders, and support staff will be crucial to achieving successful outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead roadway planning, geometric design, and modeling using Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Ensure compliance with various state and federal design standards and specifications.
  • Oversee project deliverables concerning scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Conduct initial quality control reviews on designs and submissions.
  • Facilitate all aspects of project submissions, including utility coordination, environmental considerations, and public engagement.
  • Engage in business development and marketing efforts to secure new projects for the firm.
  • Prepare proposals, manage contracts, and maintain client relationships.
  • Lead project teams while mentoring engineers and designers.
  • Utilize knowledge of the design process to foster relationships with the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD).

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Idaho Professional Engineer License or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and effective communication skills.
  • Familiarity with various transportation design software packages.
  • Experience with the Idaho Transportation Department's design processes and specifications.
