Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Teleconferencing Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Unified Communications and Video Conferencing systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Unified Communications and Video Conferencing systems
  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of development efforts and projects
  • Lead delivery efforts at customer locations
  • Assess vulnerabilities and maintain security compliance of Voice and Video Conferencing Systems
  • Provide support for customer scheduled and unplanned outages
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced VC/UC personnel
  • Serve as the point of escalation support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians
  • Plan and configure systems for user environments
  • Support the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology
  • Participate in special projects as required
Requirements
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Extensive experience with AV VTC equipment and certified programmer for all services involving changing or reprogramming any source code for control equipment
  • Experience in Voice and Video Engineering, Infrastructure including design, maintenance, support, deployment, implementation, systems engineering
  • Advanced knowledge in Cisco Unified Communications Systems, QoS Quality of Service, Cisco Unity Connection, VCS, Streaming Video, Cisco Video devices, Crestron and Codex VTC units, Microsoft Teams and other Collaboration tools
  • Video teleconferencing certification
  • IAT II 8570 certification (Security+ CE)
  • Security Clearance Level TSDOE Q
  • Willingness to submit to random drug screening
  • Travel 25-50%
