Position Overview:

Intrepid Solutions and Services, Inc. is on the lookout for a Lead Audio Visual (AV) Systems Programmer with expertise in programming AMX and Crestron systems. This role is crucial for sustaining the AV functionalities within various facilities. The selected candidate will ensure that all communication tools are effectively operational to support the mission of the Operations and Maintenance Team.

This AV Systems Programmer will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of all Audio Video systems. Beyond managing the AV equipment, the role includes providing direct assistance for video teleconferencing (VTC) capabilities, collaborating on innovative designs, and integrating with multiple AV teams focused on new installations and upgrades. The primary work location will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ AMX and Crestron programming skills to oversee, operate, and maintain a diverse range of AV equipment and suites.
  • Execute AV programming tasks efficiently and with a strong attention to quality.
  • Coordinate customer requirements and schedules while prioritizing tasks across a broad spectrum of AV systems.
  • Design and configure touch panels, interpret electronic schematics for troubleshooting, and repair systems as needed.
  • Facilitate customer training and knowledge transfer within a varied client base.
  • Collaborate as a vital team member to troubleshoot and devise solutions, ensuring high-visibility systems remain operational.
  • Utilize advanced AV knowledge and testing equipment to diagnose and resolve system issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Work Expectations:

This is a full-time position requiring onsite presence during standard operating hours. Local travel may be necessary for installations and project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Clearance: An active TS/SCI with CI polygraph is mandatory for onsite responsibilities.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related discipline, or completion of an apprenticeship program with equivalent experience.

Certifications: Preferred certifications include:

  • AMX and/or Crestron programming and design certifications.
  • Certified Broadcast Networking Engineer (CBNE).
  • Certified Technology Specialist-Designer (CTS-D).
  • Cisco Network Administrator (CNA) or equivalent.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in AV Engineering, Design, Programming, and Lifecycle Maintenance.
  • Proficient in AMX programming.
  • Experience as a senior member of an AV design and integration team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple AV projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Extron, Biamp, or VBrick.
