Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Leadership Annual Giving to join our team at Northwestern University. This role will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationship management plans, programs, and events to cultivate prospects, students, and alumni in meaningful ways that transition into engaged volunteers and donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individual engagement plans to cultivate prospects, students, and alumni
  • Personally solicit gifts from leadership donors
  • Plan and execute stewardship activities to recognize and thank donors
  • Recruit, engage, train, and manage volunteers to support development efforts
  • Collaborate with internal department partners and University partners to identify and integrate resources to accomplish strategic goals and objectives
Requirements
  • 4 years of development, marketing, sales, or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 years of experience in fund-raising, preferably in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and creative skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment
