Executive Director, Retirement Administration Service Center

Join the University of California Office of the President as the Executive Director of the Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC). This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of approximately 170 individuals and drive strategic initiatives to position RASC as a leading retirement administration service provider.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of RASC's operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality retirement services to members of the University of California system.
- Drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery.
- Lead a team of four direct reports, including a Business Manager, Digital Strategy and Systems Leader, Senior Director of Operations, and Benefits Manager.
- Establish relationships with campuses, health enterprises, and other locations to ensure that service delivery requirements are understood and quality services are delivered.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve communication and outreach efforts to ensure that members have access to the information and support they need to make informed retirement decisions.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong financial knowledge and ability to partner effectively with financial units.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through organizational change and drive improvements in a large, multi-layered function.
- Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for retirement plan administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial and other information to a diverse audience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Proven project management skills, coupled with a data-driven approach to planning, execution, and monitoring projects.
- Higher education and/or public sector experience in a unionized environment.
- Pension plan administration experience.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations governing retirement plans.
- Deep understanding of retirement plan administration trends, best practices, and pension administration landscape.
