Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retirement Customer Service Representative 2 to join our team at the University of California, Office of the President. As a key member of our Retirement Administration Service Center, you will provide exceptional customer service to our members, responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to retirement benefits and pension plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding UC Retirement Plan benefits, including pension and health benefits.
  • Apply system information to develop accurate written responses to routine and general inquiries.
  • Facilitate resolution to member account-related issues and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Communicate professionally with peers and other RASC internal staff to resolve customer issues and complaints.
  • Meet production goals and assure quality of responses and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, developing written responses to inquiries and applying organizational rules, regulations, policy, and procedures.
  • Ability to learn, retain, apply, and communicate information regarding UC, UCRP, and UC Health and Welfare benefits effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, organization, and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer application programs and ability to analyze information and synthesize large amounts of data with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to meet production goals, facilitate responses, and provide quality service and working knowledge of defined benefit and defined contribution retirement programs.
