Job Overview

Position: Weekend Overnight Facilities Attendant/Houseman
Schedule: Shifts from 10 PM to 6 AM on Friday and Saturday

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services:

  • Complete necessary brand training to enhance service delivery.
  • Contribute to hotel objectives aimed at maximizing guest satisfaction.
  • Provide guests with information and assistance regarding local attractions and hotel facilities.

Operational Duties:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks in all public and back-of-house areas, ensuring adequate supply levels.
  • Promptly report maintenance issues in guest rooms or public spaces to the maintenance team.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy work environment, including housekeeping closets and laundry facilities.
  • Follow hotel procedures for lost and found items.
  • Ensure the property is free of trash and debris, maintaining a welcoming appearance for guests.
  • Keep elevators clean by polishing stainless steel surfaces.
  • Monitor pool and fitness areas, ensuring cleanliness and availability of fresh towels.
  • Sanitize and prepare guest room glassware in accordance with brand standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness in public restrooms and ensure sufficient paper product supplies.
  • Communicate inventory needs to the housekeeping department.
  • Assist with room attendant or laundry tasks as required.
  • Undertake special cleaning projects as needed.
  • Adhere to hotel Do Not Disturb protocols.
  • Manage a well-stocked houseman cart consistently.
  • Report maintenance or repair issues to management for timely resolution.
  • Support the hotel’s financial goals through effective loss prevention and cost control.

Safety and Security:

  • Identify and rectify potential safety hazards and security issues.
  • Report any conditions that may jeopardize the safety of guests or staff.
  • Remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to ensure a secure environment.
  • Understand and comply with MSDS instructions for chemicals and supplies.
  • Protect the privacy of guests and associates by adhering to confidentiality standards.
  • Follow security procedures for hotel room access.
  • Ensure personal safety by following established safety protocols.
  • Stay informed about emergency procedures and protocols.

  • Effectively manage time to complete all assigned tasks.

Physical Requirements: This role involves regular walking, handling objects, and communication. Candidates should be able to lift up to 20 pounds and perform tasks requiring physical stamina.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
  • Possess a clean driving record.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Be dependable and able to work independently.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
