As a Beverage Sales Consultant, your role will involve nurturing and expanding relationships with off-premise chain accounts, ensuring the successful promotion of supplier brands through strategic planning, effective sales techniques, and clear communication. Your efforts will contribute to achieving both company and supplier goals.

Compensation Details:

$41,000 Base Salary + Commission & Incentives

$1,500 Sign-On Bonus

Mileage Reimbursement at 67 cents per business mile driven

Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off including holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular visits to accounts, establishing an efficient routing pattern for daily operations.


Evaluate the entire account portfolio by visiting each location, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring compliance with national account standards.


Deliver engaging sales presentations that align the company's priorities with customer needs, focusing on new product placements, promotional activities, and inventory management.

Maintain optimal product availability by managing inventory levels and restocking shelves as permitted.

Provide training to account staff on priority brands through informative seminars.

Oversee customer account receivables by processing credits and returns promptly and maintaining communication regarding outstanding balances.


Address customer inquiries and issues effectively, escalating concerns to management when necessary.

Achieve sales and merchandising targets.


Plan strategically to meet objectives by analyzing pricing and product programming on a monthly basis while keeping accurate historical purchase records.


Collaborate with management to monitor inventory levels, alerting them to potential demand fluctuations.


Meet performance standards by achieving distribution, volume, and activity goals set by management for supplier brands.


Ensure high brand visibility within accounts by adhering to management's standards and utilizing effective point-of-sale materials when applicable.

Collect payments from accounts as legally permissible.

Assist in the establishment of new accounts by developing initial orders in conjunction with the Field Sales Manager.

Engage in collaborative supplier initiatives through sales calls and promotional events.

Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

A minimum of 2 years of sales experience

Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software, including presentation tools

Strong results-oriented mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating diplomacy and discretion

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or as part of a team, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines

Analytical and reporting capabilities

Sound judgment and problem-solving skills

Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment

Must be at least 21 years of age

Possession of a valid Driver's License

Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance are required.

Physical Requirements:
While performing this role, employees may need to remain stationary at times, communicate effectively, and operate a computer and telephone.

Regularly required to reach overhead, squat, and bend.

Ability to carry and lift 45-65 pounds.

Competencies:

Ability to select the best options from defined procedures and solutions based on common sense and experience.
