As a Field Sales Executive, your primary responsibility will be to develop and enhance off-premise account relationships within your designated territory. You will drive the sales of our supplier brands through strategic planning, effective selling techniques, and clear communication, ultimately achieving both company and supplier goals.

Compensation and Benefits:


The offered salary is based on internal equity, market data, and the applicant's skills and relevant experience.


Compensation:
$41,000 + 2% Commission & Incentives

Mileage Reimbursement at 67 cents per business mile driven

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain daily routes to efficiently cover accounts.


- Assess the entire account base by visiting each location to identify opportunities; complete necessary surveys and ensure compliance with national account standards.


- Create and deliver compelling sales presentations that align the company's priorities with customer needs, including new product placements and promotional activities.

- Maintain product availability in accounts by managing inventory and restocking shelves where permitted.

- Conduct educational training sessions for account staff on priority brands.

- Manage customer account receivables by processing credits and returns promptly and communicating with accounts regarding aged receivables.


- Address customer issues and complaints, escalating them to management as necessary.

- Achieve sales and merchandising targets.


- Strategically plan to meet objectives by understanding pricing and product programming on a monthly basis, while maintaining accurate historical purchase data.


- Collaborate with management on inventory levels, alerting them to potential demand fluctuations.


- Meet performance standards by achieving distribution, volume, and activity goals set by management.


- Ensure maximum brand visibility by adhering to account standards and utilizing effective point-of-sale materials.

- Collect payments from accounts where legally permissible.

- Support new account openings by developing initial orders in collaboration with the Field Sales Manager.

- Participate in supplier initiatives, including sales calls and blitzes.

- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience

- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience

- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software, including presentation tools

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service

- Ability to multitask, work independently or as part of a team, and meet deadlines

- Strong analytical and reporting skills

- Excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Must be at least 21 years of age

- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation with proof of insurance

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary at times; communicate effectively, and operate a computer and telephone

- Regularly required to reach overhead, squat, and bend

- Capable of lifting and carrying 45-65 pounds

Competencies:
- Accountable for results that impact the department.

- Ability to select the best option from defined procedures using common sense and experience.
