Job Overview

Position Summary

The Logistics Administrative Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing daily shipping operations. Proficiency in UPS and FedEx shipping systems along with meticulous documentation is essential. Cross-functional training and skills will be beneficial.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry and operate multiple shipping and warehouse systems.
  • Communicate effectively with customer service to receive and relay instructions.
  • Manage the driver's window, coordinate carrier loading, and handle related paperwork.
  • Interpret customer orders and shipping requests to identify items for movement or distribution.
  • Assist team members in fulfilling customer orders from inventory and prepare items for shipping.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in guiding associates when the Warehouse Lead is unavailable.
  • Prepare packages for mailing and maintain accurate shipping records.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Role: None

Qualifications:

General Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential job functions with the necessary education, experience, and skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • At least six months of relevant experience in warehousing or related training.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to read and understand instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Capability to write simple correspondence in English.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Skills:

  • Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Ability to address problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in computer use for data entry and generating warehouse documentation; prior data entry experience is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Forklift certification is preferred.
