Regional Business Development Manager

As a Regional Business Manager at URUS Group, you will play a critical role in driving sales and profit growth by retaining and acquiring key accounts in the animal health industry. This position requires a strong understanding of the bovine industry and excellent communication skills to develop and execute business development plans that meet both margin and volume targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement area business plans to grow core business and meet sales and profit targets.
- Collaborate with the Client Service/Professional Service Team to develop annual strategic Key Account plans, including demographics, economics, performance, potential, actionable items, tracking, and reporting.
- Create and maintain customer-focused business development plans for high-potential customers.
- Offer strategic problem-solving solutions to assigned accounts to create mutually beneficial opportunities for Trans Ova Genetics and key accounts.
- Identify needs and use a consultative sales approach to close sales and create achievable expectations.
- Work closely with Marketing Communications and Professional Service Teams to deliver and merchandise value-added results.
- Conduct regular account profiling with the account team to identify customer needs and assess current and future customer growth opportunities.
- Contribute to team selling efforts by planning call cycles with others to maximize team time and resources and ensure appropriate account follow-up.
- Calls on targeted prospective clients and quantify and qualify opportunities to drive investments to secure business relationships.
- Maintain a prospective client list with the status of activity/planned activity with accounts.
- Calls on all influential personnel in assigned accounts, including owners, herd managers, and associate vets.
- Assist in coordinating service/business activities of the Professional Service Team, Dairy Consultant, and key account Client Service Representative.
- Serve as the local key account expert, sharing expertise with assigned Professional Service Team, Dairy Consultant, and Client Service Representative.
- Utilize excellent presentation skills to conduct educational training on products and exhibits.
- Build and maintain relationships and influence with key collaborators, including veterinarians, breed associations, extension, and university personnel.
- Assist with the collection of accounts receivable.
- Maintain a professional image reflective of the overall Trans Ova branding objective with internal and external customers.
- Follow Trans Ova's policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or business discipline required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related sales and/or marketing experience in positions of increasing responsibility in the animal health industry.
- Knowledge of the bovine industry required.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and proficiency with a computer, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Experience selling to Dairy's in the defined trade highly desired.
