About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Handy Mart team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, emptying trash bins, and refilling window washing stations.
  • Sales and Upselling: Meet or exceed sales goals by upselling and suggestive selling products to customers, and promoting our loyalty rewards program.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately handle customer transactions, manage cash register, and maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, maintain a positive and supportive team environment, and adapt to changing store needs.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older (21 years of age or older in certain states).
  • Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays, and have a flexible schedule.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Math Proficiency: Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Personable and Positive: Friendly demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
  • Detail-Oriented: Notice the little things that make a big difference in a customer's experience.
  • Reliable and Responsible: Punctual, trustworthy, and take pride in work.
  • Flexible: Adaptable and ready to take on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
