Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Manager to join our team at Ames Taping Tools. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for renting and selling Automated Taping & Finishing Tools, Non-ATF, and related merchandise to existing and targeted national accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve budgeted revenue and profit growth with assigned national accounts.
  • Conduct sales calls on assigned customer base, new customers, and union training centers to establish relationships, identify training and sales opportunities, and coordinate Ames stores activity.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide world-class service and support our leadership position in the industry.
  • Analyze customer needs and market trends to accurately forecast demands and identify potential new products and services to gain market share.
  • Research and source potential new customers and cultivate identified target customers in existing and new geographic markets.
  • Coordinate with key personnel at the regional, district, and store levels to present and execute revenue-producing activities.
  • Participate in customer-related activities, including Pro Shows, Union/associations events, and other events to create demand and revenue for Ames Taping Tools.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnership relationships with customers and sales team, including Ames stores.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or five years of sales experience, including construction-related sales with customers on a national and regional level.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales, profitability, and budget goals.
  • Ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies.
  • Ability to analyze performance versus plan and strategize accordingly.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales reports, strategy documents, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to develop compelling presentations, write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • High-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally within the company and with customers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, associates, users, and customers both internally and externally.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • This position requires up to 75% travel depending on customer activities.
