Administrative Services Leader for Background Studies

About the Role
The State of Minnesota is seeking a skilled Administrative Services Leader to join our team in the Background Studies Division within the Office of the Inspector General.
This is a leadership position that will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Services unit, responsible for business analysis, contract management, technical writing, business continuity, payment processing, and operational supports.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine and implement the work plan, objectives, and priorities of the Enterprise Services Unit to guide administrative services and supports functions.
- Lead a team of professional-level staff to ensure financial, staffing, and other resources needed to accomplish statutory obligations, priorities, goals, and objectives are met.
- Serve as a technical expert and consultant, representing the BGS Division and DHS' statewide background study system at engagements with counties, state, and federal agencies, and tribal communities.
Requirements
- Four years of experience leading administrative services and operational functions in one or more areas: fiscal responsibility, system/business analysis and design, business continuity, systems infrastructure, and business operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervisory roles, project lead positions, or completion of leadership programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build constructive relationships and communicate clearly, effectively, and persuasively in writing, at meetings, and in public speaking.
