Chief Communications Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Communications Officer to join our team at Richmond County School System. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans to promote the school system's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote the school system's brand
- Lead a team of communications professionals to develop and implement communication plans, campaigns, and initiatives
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the school system's goals
- Develop and maintain relationships with local media, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote the school system's mission and goals
- Manage and maintain the school system's website, social media, and other communication channels
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in strategic communications, preferably in a school system or education-related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of communications professionals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and strategically
