Job Summary

As a Medical Office Assistant at Center for Primary Care, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate records and accounts, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers with exams and procedures
  • Accurately administer medication and injections per provider orders
  • Document necessary information in Electronic Medical Record System
  • Operate office equipment according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Prepare patient and exam room appropriately for exams and procedures
  • Ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office
  • Document and report lab results on appropriate forms and in a timely manner
  • Draw blood, label specimens, and complete orders in adherence with guidelines
  • Adhere to infection control guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other staff members

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
  • Ability to type and identify emergent medical situations
  • Demonstrate positive customer service skills and ability to function in a fast-paced work environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Work Environment:

Our medical office is a well-lit and clean environment with a fast-paced atmosphere. You will be required to stand and walk for 85% of your shift and lift at least 10 pounds.
