Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Support Specialist to join our team at the State of Maine, Bureau of Human Resources. As an Office Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team, including answering incoming calls, sorting and distributing mail, and completing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Sort and distribute mail and packages
  • Complete various administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Assist with special projects and events as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
