Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team at Sulzer USA Inc. in the Aftermarket Parts department. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing new product orders accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify inbound purchase orders and letters of intent to ensure they meet company standards for booking.
  • Book customer orders into the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate and amend Sales Order Worksheets with customers, sales representatives, and management as needed.
  • Enter equipment into orders using the ERP configurator where applicable.
  • Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to enter non-configurable orders, including BOM adjustments, into the ERP system.
  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating the flow of work to ensure mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as bill-of-material preparation, is completed in accordance with workflow.
  • Prepare US content calculations and draft certifications when required.
  • Prepare and enter change orders in the ERP system as needed.
  • Ensure state and local sales tax documents are secured from customers.
  • Enter and manage the Avalara tax interface for orders for the order process and service order process teams.
  • Serve as a consultant to the teams when difficulties with Avalara arise.
  • Serve as a backup for shipping transactions in ERP.
  • Validate that sales orders are in an accurate and complete condition before invoicing occurs.
  • Transact invoices in ERP and close the order process.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of order management or accounting experience
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles as they relate to operations
  • Ability to understand, resolve, and remediate complex and inter-related sources of information
  • Acute analytical skills
  • High level of ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Sound understanding of state and local sales and use tax rules in all areas served by the company
  • High level of proficiency using Avalara or other sales tax management software
  • High level of proficiency with technology tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, databases, and web
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Flexible, reliable, strong work ethic, dependable team player, positive, constructive attitude
  • Outstanding business etiquette skills
  • Working knowledge of products and technologies
