If you are a finance professional eager to gain valuable experience, we have an exciting opportunity for you. In this role, you will provide project and systems development support across various financial functions. You will also assist in resolving issues within these areas and lead the implementation of process enhancements. Your focus will be on key financial functions, including General Accounting, Tax, Payroll, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Cash Management, to implement new processes, address various challenges, and pursue opportunities for improvement. You will serve as a vital representative of the financial functions as you collaborate across multiple departments within our organization.

As a Lead Financial Strategist, You Will:

  • Lead and participate in departmental and cross-functional projects, providing ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Represent financial functions during project implementations and issue resolutions to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely financial transactions and reporting.
  • Conduct account analyses, identify and resolve discrepancies, and implement process improvements.
  • Create and enter manual journal entries, prepare reconciliations for month-end close, and maintain supporting documentation and analyses.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and other resources on financial software and process improvement initiatives to identify and implement enhancements.
  • Utilize financial software and various tools to execute job responsibilities effectively.
  • Support the internal and external audit processes.
  • Play a key role in our finance/accounting co-op program, directing work and assignments as necessary.

Flexible Work Schedule and Remote Work Options

This position offers the flexibility of remote work up to three days a week, along with a core hour schedule. You can adjust your start and end times as long as you are available during core hours. Our teams collaborate to ensure that our chosen work schedules foster creativity and productivity while meeting customer needs.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and cost accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including linked spreadsheets, data downloads, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Capacity to work productively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle financial applications.
  • Background in multiple accounting functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced functionalities.
  • Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management software.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools (Domo, Power BI, Power Query).
  • Advanced Excel capabilities.
  • CPA and/or CMA certifications.
