Position Overview:We are currently seeking a skilled financial professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide project and systems development support across various accounting functions. You will also play a vital role in resolving issues within these functions and spearheading the implementation of process enhancements.
Your focus will be on the needs of key accounting areas, including General Accounting, Tax, Payroll, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Cash Management, where you will implement new processes, address various challenges, and pursue opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and participate in departmental and cross-functional projects, providing ad-hoc analysis as required.
- Act as a strong advocate for accounting functions during project implementation and issue resolution to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely financial transactions and reporting.
- Conduct account analysis, identify and resolve discrepancies, and implement process improvements.
- Create and input manual journal entries, prepare reconciliations for month-end close, and maintain supporting documentation and analyses.
- Collaborate with technical teams on Oracle and process improvement initiatives to identify and implement enhancements.
- Utilize Oracle general ledger software and other financial tools to perform job duties.
- Support internal and external audit fieldwork.
- Play an integral role in our finance/accounting co-op program, directing work and assignments as necessary.
This position offers a flexible work schedule, including the option for remote work up to three days a week, with core hours established.
You have the freedom to adjust your start and end times, provided you are available during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Our teams collaborate to ensure that our chosen work schedules foster creativity and productivity while meeting customer needs.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and cost accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including linked spreadsheets, data downloads, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong project leadership abilities.
- Experience with Oracle financial applications.
- Background in multiple accounting functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced functions.
- Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management software.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (Domo, Power BI, Power Query).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- CPA and/or CMA certification(s).
