Overview

Stanford University is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Human Resources to join our Financial Management Services (FMS) organization. As a strategic HR advisor, you will partner with senior leadership to support initiatives and provide expert guidance on human resources policies, programs, and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with FMS leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's objectives
  • Provide HR services, including talent acquisition, selection, immigration, onboarding, compensation, talent development projects, workforce planning efforts, and offboarding
  • Consult with FMS leadership on affirmative action objectives and diversity and inclusion programs
  • Investigate complex employee relations issues and provide advice and counsel to mitigate risk
  • Manage salary-setting programs and advise managers on employee classification levels
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience
  • Deep competencies and experiences as an advisor to senior management in human resources areas, including employee relations, employment and labor law, compensation, staffing and employment, training and development, performance coaching and management, and organizational/talent development
  • Creative and innovative skills in recruiting top talent
  • Strong instructional/curriculum design skills and experience
  • Strong program/project management skills and experience
