Senior Associate Director of Development, Major Gifts SHC

Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Director of Development, Major Gifts SHC to join our team. This role will be responsible for raising philanthropic support for programmatic and capital initiatives at Stanford Health Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 125 major gifts prospects capable of making a gift between $250,000 - $10M.
- Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan for MCD efforts across the SHC enterprise, with particular focus on SHC Tri-Valley.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward donor relationships to achieve philanthropic goals.
- Collaborate with internal partners and the SHC team to identify new prospective donors and volunteers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with MCD colleagues, department leadership, faculty members, and clinical and administrative staff.
- Prepare SHC leadership for donor meetings and respond to donor requests for information and written proposals.
- Stay informed on current initiatives and activities at Stanford Medicine.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proven ability to meet fundraising goals with a growing confidence in managing and balancing donor/faculty/lay leader relationships.
- Demonstrated high integrity and trustworthiness.
- Strong collegial, collaborative style and ability to drive results.
- Effectiveness in prospect identification, relationship building, and solicitation.
- Superior written and oral communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and ability to articulate a compelling case for philanthropic support programs.
Working Conditions
- May require working flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Regular travel may be required.
- Valid passport for international travel.
