Job Summary

Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Director of Development to join its Medical Center Development team. This role will focus on major gifts fundraising for Cardiovascular Health and Surgery, working closely with faculty and donors to advance research, education, and clinical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic fundraising plans to achieve major gifts goals for Cardiovascular Health and Surgery
  • Build and maintain relationships with faculty, donors, and other stakeholders to identify and cultivate new opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Cardiovascular Health and Surgery to monitor team goals and fundraising success, and implement interventions as needed
  • Partner with development colleagues to implement fundraising activities and events
  • Stay informed on current university initiatives and activities, and contribute to the overall priorities of Stanford Medicine
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Proven ability to achieve fundraising goals and a high level of comfort and effectiveness working with faculty, high net worth individuals, business executives, and community leaders
  • Commitment to a collaborative culture, with patience, persistence, and flexibility to build consensus and facilitate decision-making across multiple constituencies
  • Excellent writing, communication, and listening skills, with the ability to collaborate and achieve results within diverse populations
