Job Overview
Position Title: Broadcast Systems Maintenance Specialist
Classification: Full-Time, Nonexempt
Division: Technology & Operations
Reports To: Chief Engineer
Compensation: $34.00 per hour (Based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the TOPS Department Maintenance team on facility repairs, enhancements, and installations. Major projects may necessitate overnight availability to address off-air maintenance needs.
- Contribute to the design, construction, and documentation of new systems, as well as modifications to existing systems to fulfill new requirements.
- Support live broadcast remotes and local television productions.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and generate maintenance reports for quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with all FCC, OSHA, and company regulations.
- Assist with additional engineering tasks as assigned.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with solid-state/digital electronics and computerized systems, with the capability to troubleshoot electronic equipment to the component level.
- Experience in maintaining digital broadcast and production equipment is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of IT, including software and hardware for broadcast systems.
- Capacity to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Position Requirements
Education Required: High School diploma plus two years of Technical Training
Minimum Qualifications: Valid NYS Driver's License; ability to work unusual hours and
ability to lift 50 lbs.
Experience Required: Minimum one year of experience with television broadcasting equipment
Equipment Skills: Familiarity with all aspects of radio and television broadcasting equipment
