We are seeking a highly skilled Broadcast Maintenance Technician to join our team at WXXI. As a key member of our Technology & Operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our broadcast systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Maintenance: Work with our TOPS Department Maintenance staff to perform repairs, upgrades, and installations of broadcast equipment and systems.
  • System Design and Development: Assist in the design, building, and documentation of new systems and modifications to existing systems to meet new requirements.
  • Live Broadcast Support: Assist with live broadcast remotes and local television productions, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning properly.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance and complete maintenance reports to ensure quality control and compliance with FCC, OSHA, and company regulations.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and ensure that all equipment and systems meet industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of technical training.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience in television broadcasting equipment maintenance.
  • Skills: Familiarity with all phases of radio and television broadcasting equipment, including solid state/digital electronics and computerized systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
