Accountabilities / Responsibilities:


The Supply Chain Coordinator is tasked with supporting the facility's inventory management strategy to enhance patient care and achieve organizational objectives as directed by facility management.

The Supply Chain Coordinator executes duties according to the scope of practice defined by the facility's position description, role, and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:


Responsible for maintaining the facility's inventory management strategy to ensure safe patient care as directed by facility leadership.

Oversees the receipt and distribution of supplies, floor stock, office supplies, and rental equipment.

Maintains optimal inventory levels.

Returns or removes excess stock as necessary.

Adheres to regulatory requirements and accreditation standards to support safety and security protocols:

Conducts periodic physical inventories as assigned and according to established schedules.

Ensures storage standards are met: 6 inches from the floor, 18 inches from the ceiling.

Monitors and tracks outdated supplies, ensuring none are issued.

Verifies that all receipts include purchase order numbers and are properly authorized.

Inspects all incoming shipments for damage.

Follows major vendor contracts and policies from SCA.

Manages facility property economically and conservatively.

Demonstrates awareness of age-specific developmental needs for the served population.

Ensures timely removal of soiled linen and biohazardous and non-hazardous waste throughout the facility, adhering to linen and waste management contracts.

Pulls and stocks supplies for main supply areas and facility departments.

Distributes special order items throughout the facility.

Responsible for accurate record-keeping and reporting within the department.

Keeps all departments informed of shortages, back-orders, recalls, and any supply issues affecting requests and needs.

Acts as a liaison for clinical teammates, communicating with all vendors, sales representatives, and accounts.

Meets all established deadlines for ordering, receiving, delivering, and storing supplies.

Checks and distributes all orders promptly and accurately.

Provides data to the Administrator as requested.


Demonstrates the ability to meet the learning needs of patients and families as identified in the care plan under the direction of facility leadership.

Assists facility leaders in providing necessary supplies and equipment for patient care needs.

Supports facility leaders in addressing patient and environmental safety issues.

Exhibits appropriate knowledge and competence in designated skills identified for the position.

Completes competencies and competency checklists for education and training specific to the job position, duties, role, and responsibilities, in accordance with facility policy.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred 1-2 years of experience in medical supplies, equipment, and materials management.

Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds, moving, bending, and standing for extended periods, with good hand and finger dexterity.

USD $19.47/Hr.

Max:
USD $34.66/Hr.
