Role Responsibilities

The Senior Civil Construction Manager will oversee daily operations related to the successful execution of Civil, Heavy Highway, Railroad, Site Development, and Large Building Projects. This role requires comprehensive oversight of project planning, scheduling, cost management, quality assurance, contract oversight, safety protocols, and stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing construction projects from inception to completion, utilizing the Crossland Construction pre-planning framework to initiate each project and develop a Master Project Schedule that is updated monthly and shared with all relevant parties.
  • Creating a Master Variance for project accounting, ensuring timely coding of all subcontractor, supplier, equipment, and labor invoices according to company guidelines.
  • Overseeing all contractual agreements, payment requests, change orders, and requests for information (RFIs) in a timely manner, ensuring follow-up on outstanding invoices.
  • Drafting and managing all subcontracts and purchase orders in compliance with company protocols, ensuring all documentation is complete and duly signed.
  • Reviewing shop drawings and submittals promptly for accuracy and adherence to specifications, ensuring timely delivery of materials to maintain project momentum.
  • Ensuring that all work meets the quality standards outlined in project plans and specifications.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in managing civil and heavy highway projects, demonstrating a strong understanding of the complexities involved in large-scale construction.
