Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team at GEI Consultants. This individual will be responsible for providing program and project level management and technical direction for planning, design, and construction of large civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide program and project level management and technical direction for planning, design, and construction of large civil engineering projects.
  • Develop business and help GEI grow the civil engineering practice by leveraging relationships and knowledge of civil engineering clients, programs, and infrastructure.
  • Maintain high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participation in client-based professional organizations, and attendance and presentations at industry events.
  • Provide direction and assistance in recruiting, mentoring, and training staff in the civil engineering discipline and related fields.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience in civil engineering with 5+ years in a senior/project management role.
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field. M.S. preferred.
  • Professional Engineering license required.
  • Experience managing staff using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and BIM software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrate experience with agency permitting, civil design, contract and construction management, and contract plan and specification preparation.
  • Have the ability to serve as subject matter expert (SME) and appear before local agencies and boards on behalf of client projects as needed.
  • Provide Senior leadership and be recognized for technical excellence and the development of client-focused, creative, and practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated success leading and managing large civil engineering projects and accounts.
  • Successful Seller-Doer with existing relationships and knowledge of civil engineering clients, programs, and infrastructure.
