About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Civil and Environmental Consultants. As a key member of our civil/site practice, you will work closely with project teams to create civil engineering site development designs, develop permitting and construction plans, and prepare municipal zoning and land development applications for our commercial, industrial, institutional, and energy clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design site layouts, site grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, stormwater management facilities, and site utilities
  • Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials to impact the project from conceptual and design phases to construction
  • Work closely with project managers and principals to plan and execute projects, communicate with clients, and develop new client opportunities
  • Mentor junior staff on technical items and attend industry organization and client meetings
Requirements
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. a plus)
  • 5-8 years of engineering experience
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • E.I.T. or P.E. preferred
  • Proficiency in computer modeling software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Storm Sewers
