Position Overview:
The Guest Relations Specialist is tasked with delivering exceptional service to both internal and external patrons. This role involves welcoming guests, facilitating prompt seating arrangements, and managing all sales transactions. The individual in this position ensures that guests feel valued and at ease, adhering to the customer service standards of Boyd Gaming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively cultivate and maintain customer relationships while serving as a mentor to fellow employees, ensuring superior customer service. Demonstrates resilience in managing challenging customer interactions across various business scenarios and collaborates effectively with team members.
  • Warmly greets guests and organizes seating arrangements; oversees the ambiance of the venue.
  • Provides comprehensive information regarding all services and facilities offered by Boyd Gaming to guests.
  • Accurately communicates waiting times and manages guest waiting lists or reservations following established protocols.
  • Handles the collection, counting, and return of cash from various transactions.
  • Opens the cash register and meticulously prepares and completes all necessary documentation for the assigned outlet.
  • In front-of-house settings, greets guests with a friendly demeanor and addresses inquiries prior to finalizing sales transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required licenses and certifications as per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Minimum age requirement: 16 years.

Training and Development:
These skills and competencies are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or relevant experience in cashiering or hosting roles.
