Strategic Account Director

Job Purpose
The Director of Account Management will be responsible for managing one or more strategic accounts and driving customer satisfaction, growth, and ongoing customer care. This role will set growth strategies with these customers while focusing on meeting contractual obligations, executing customer needs, and resolving escalations.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will act as the liaison between customer and company sites, coordinating effective communication governance and proactively addressing customer needs. Additional responsibilities will include providing weekly/monthly status update reports to management, weekly forecast updates, and updates to the CRM tool. The Director of Account Management will maintain a wide-scale customer contact list and account plans in the system and schedule senior-level meetings as required for management involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Penetrate deep and wide into the customer base to drive new business opportunities
- Win RFIs/RFQs for new projects
- Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline
- Lead on pricing negotiations
- Utilize regular customer contacts as a source of useful market and competitive intelligence
Requirements
BA or BS preferred
10+ years of account management or comparable experience required
Strong track-record of over-achieving quotas while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction
Revenue responsibilities to $25M+
Knowledge of communications industry and an understanding of global supply chains
Excellent MS Office skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Experience working with vast remote cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations
Strong project manager with excellent ability to prioritize, multi-task, and organize
