Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Compensation Specialist to join our team at Novatae Risk Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of Work Comp submissions, presenting accounts to insurance carriers, and marketing new and renewal business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit Work Comp applications and supporting documents.
  • Presentation of accounts to insurance carriers and negotiation of compelling programs.
  • Market new and renewal business in conjunction with designated sales teams.
  • Analyze current programs and collect necessary information.
  • Order underwriting reports as needed and ensure timely quote provision.
  • Solicit new business through sales and marketing techniques.
  • Coordinate administrative workflows with support teams to ensure prompt response to service issues.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and cultivate new markets.

Requirements:

  • Skilled in business writing and situation analysis.
  • Energetic and self-motivated individual with a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in property and casualty insurance, including coverages, rating, terminology, and technical procedures.
  • P&C license required or within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be sales driven and have strong communication skills.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred, with 1-3 years of relative experience in Worker's Compensation Brokering or MGA experience.
