Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Account Manager to join our team at McGriff Insurance Services. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining key client and carrier relationships, providing exceptional client service, and serving as a mentor to others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email, and in person.
  • Assist assigned clients and staff with service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem-solving.
  • Continually seek cross-sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage.
  • Work with Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients.
  • Lead the marketing of accounts as requested by Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive.
  • Prepare marketing information or provide required information to a marketing person.
  • Complete the implementation process and prepare and deliver all applicable forms to clients.
  • Formulate a plan with Producer to conduct relationship management meetings and/or visits with assigned clients.
  • Proficient in the client management system(s) to update policies, log activities, and document client meetings.
  • Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to stay up-to-date on new products and legislative changes.
  • Mentor team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Appropriate insurance license (Property & Casualty).
  • Strong client relation skills, excellent communication skills, and service orientation.
  • Ability to utilize leadership skills, provide direction, and motivate others.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
