Leidos is seeking a Systems Architect with expertise in model-driven systems engineering methodologies to become a part of our Electronic Warfare (EW) sector.

The selected candidate will collaborate with solution architects and system designers within Leidos' Cognitive EW division to comprehend client requirements and devise innovative solutions for both prototype and operational systems across the RF spectrum (including cognitive communications, radar, electronic warfare (EW), spectrum sensing, and SIGINT).


The Leidos EW Division engages in projects that encompass advanced signal processing, machine learning, optimization, detection & estimation, deep learning, and adaptive decision-making and control.

The systems architect will play a crucial role in transforming technical concepts into functional system designs, formulating requirements, use cases, and architectural elements to guide algorithms and software engineers in small technology development teams, while also supporting the testing and deployment of contemporary EW capabilities.

There will be opportunities to witness the complete lifecycle of designs executed by the candidate, from initial prototypes to field evaluations.


Key Responsibilities:
Design and uphold requirements, architectures, and system designs for intricate technical systems.

Adapt existing system designs to accommodate new use cases and updated requirements specifications.

Facilitate the development of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) artifacts across a range of products.

Expand, detail, and take ownership of essential system design components and related systems engineering outputs that contribute to customer success.


Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system functions, requirements, and design elements to ensure optimal performance in constrained technical environments.

Break down complex designs into comprehensible components for further elaboration and development.

Support the execution of the entire project lifecycle, from planning through implementation to operational readiness.


Qualifications:

Must possess SECRET Clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Strong foundation in model-based systems engineering.

Experience with SysML diagramming tools (such as Cameo System Modeler, IBM Rhapsody, etc.).

Experience leading technical system design discussions with both internal and external stakeholders.

Experience in creating and maintaining requirements baselines for project execution throughout the complete product lifecycle.

Experience in developing system of systems functional decomposition documents, interface control documents (ICDs), and articulating requirements to external performers/stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in model-based systems engineering.

Familiarity with SysML Modeling Language.

Experience with DOD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and/or Unified Architectural Framework (UAF).

Experience on DoD programs.

Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++, or other object-oriented programming languages.

Experience working with military test ranges.

Experience integrating antennas, radars, and communications equipment.

Knowledge of Electronic Warfare concepts.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,000 - $117,500.00


The Leidos pay range for this job level serves as a general guideline only and does not guarantee compensation or salary.
